Ahmad al-Faqi al-Mahdi: The vandal of Timbuktu

Ahmad al-Faqi al-Mahdi has pleaded guilty to destroying sacred sites in Timbuktu, Mali, in the first case concerning cultural artefacts at the International Criminal Court (ICC).
